1. Registration and email codes
I did not receive my code
- Check that the email address is spelled correctly.
- Wait a few minutes, then check spam, junk, promotions, and filtered folders.
- Request a new code only once. Each new request replaces the older code.
- Use the newest code before it expires. Codes normally expire after ten minutes.
- If the message still does not arrive, contact the care desk and include the email domain, the approximate request time, your country or region, and any error shown. Do not send the code itself.
Registration emails come from Firstlap <auth@mail.firstlapx.com>. Add the address to your trusted senders if your provider allows it. Firstlap will never ask you to forward a password or code.
The code is rejected
Confirm that you are using the code for the same email address and the same registration or reset flow. Codes are single-purpose, expire quickly, and can be invalidated by a newer request. Return to the previous screen, request one fresh code, and enter it without spaces.
2. Sign-in and password reset
I forgot my password
Choose Forgot password? on the sign-in page, enter your account email, verify the newest code sent to that address, and create a new password. A successful reset signs out older sessions so they cannot continue using the previous credentials.
I cannot access my email
First try the recovery process offered by your email provider. If you still cannot access the mailbox, contact care@firstlapx.com with the display name and account email. For account security, support may be unable to change ownership when control of the registered email cannot be verified.
The App keeps returning to sign-in
Check your internet connection and make sure the date and time on the iPhone are set automatically. Close and reopen the App, then sign in again. A password reset, security action, account suspension, deletion, or an expired session can intentionally revoke the stored session. Include the exact error and iOS version when contacting support.
3. Posts, photos, and groups
Create a post or “My First” milestone
Use the central create action, choose a regular moment or the “My First” template, add the required title or reflection, choose the sport and audience, optionally select one photo, and review the result before publishing. A success confirmation means the post has been saved to the service. You can return to the feed, group, or My journey to view it again.
A photo will not upload
- Choose an ordinary image format from the iOS photo picker.
- Current uploads must be no larger than 2 MB.
- Keep the App open until the upload and post both finish.
- Try a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection and retry once.
- If the draft remains, remove the photo and publish text-only, or choose a smaller image.
Firstlap can see only the item you select through the system picker, not your full photo library.
Delete content
Open your post or comment and use its menu to delete it when the action is available. Deletion removes the active Firstlap copy and updates the community after synchronization. It cannot remove screenshots or copies another person made outside Firstlap. If content was removed by moderation, use the decision notice and appeal path instead of reposting it.
Group access
Join a group from its page before posting where membership is required. Group content follows the access and membership rules shown in the App. Leaving a group stops membership-based participation; it may not automatically delete posts you previously shared there.
4. Community interactions
Applause and “With you” are lightweight encouragement. Comments support longer conversation. Save keeps a post in your own saved list, and follow helps you return to a member’s future activity. These actions synchronize with your account and can create an in-app notification for the other member.
If an interaction looks out of date, pull to refresh or reopen the screen. When a member blocks you, deletes content, changes an audience, leaves a group, or is moderated, an item or count may disappear. Do not use repeated follows, comments, or reactions to pressure another member.
5. Reports, blocks, and appeals
Report a concern
Open the menu on the relevant post, comment, group, or profile and choose Report to care desk. Select the closest reason and add concise context. The report, content snapshot, and surrounding information go to authorized reviewers. It is not posted to the community, and the reported member is not told who reported them unless disclosure is required by law.
Use reports for harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, threats, dangerous challenges, private information, impersonation, scams, spam, intellectual-property concerns, or other Community Guidelines violations. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact local emergency services first; Firstlap is not an emergency channel.
Block or unblock a member
Blocking is immediate and does not require a report. It hides the two accounts’ posts, comments, follows, and actor notifications from one another and removes follows in both directions. Review My journey → Settings → Blocked members to unblock someone. Blocking does not erase content needed for an existing safety review.
Moderation decision and appeal
If Firstlap removes your content or suspends your account, the App shows the available decision information. An eligible decision can be appealed once from that notice. Explain what was misunderstood and include relevant context. A reviewer may uphold the decision or restore the content or account. Creating another account to avoid a suspension can result in further enforcement.
6. Notifications
Activity appears in the App for comments, reactions, follows, group events, and safety decisions. Remote push notifications require permission in iOS and are delivered by Apple. Manage system permission in iOS Settings → Notifications → Firstlap.
If pushes stop, confirm permission is enabled, Focus mode allows the notification, Background App Refresh and network access are available, and you are still signed in. Opening Activity in the App shows notices that do not depend on remote push.
7. Export, sign-out, and permanent deletion
Export supported local data
Settings can create an on-device export of supported profile, journey, photo-reference, saved, and device data. Review the export before sharing it and store it securely. The local export is not a public link and may contain personal information.
Sign out
Open My journey → Settings → Sign out. Signing out removes the active session from that App installation. It does not delete your account, public content, or synchronized community activity.
Delete your account
Open My journey → Settings → Delete account, enter your current password, and select the confirmation that you understand the action cannot be undone. This action is permanent. It revokes sessions and removes your active profile content, posts, comments, photos, reactions, saves, follows, blocks, group memberships, reports you submitted, and notification device tokens. A minimal anonymized tombstone and limited safety or audit records may remain for moderation integrity, legal obligations, fraud prevention, or disputes.
If you cannot confirm the password, reset it first. If you cannot sign in, email support from the registered address and request account deletion. Support may verify account control before acting.
8. Contact and policy links
Email care@firstlapx.com. To help us investigate, include:
- the account email or display name involved;
- the screen and action where the issue occurred;
- the approximate date and time, including time zone;
- the exact error message and iOS/App version; and
- a screenshot with unrelated personal information hidden, if useful.
Do not include your password, verification code, full identity documents, payment information, or another person’s unrelated private information.
